Description:

Marco Castellaro was born in Padova (PD, Italia) on May 1984. He received his bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2007 and his Master Degree in Bioengineering in 2010, both from University of Padova, Italy. He earned a Ph.D. in Bioengineering under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Bertoldo with a thesis entitled "Quantitative neuroimaging of perfusion with Arterial Spin Labelling: deconvolution and physiology-based models. He is currently a Post Doc in Bioengineering at the Department of Information Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Bertoldo. His main research area regards the development of advanced algorithm for the analysis and the quantification of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and its computational optimization.

Other projects comprise:

  • Quantification of haemodynamic parameters from Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast (DSC-MRI)
  • Development of models for the quantification of haemodynamic parameters from Arterial Spin Labelling (ASL)
  • Computational Optimization of non linear algorithm for solving identification and deconvolution problems
  • Compressed Sensing applyed to DSC-MRI and ASL
  • Pulse Sequence development with Philips MR-paradise platform
